Casting Call for BBC1 Television Drama

The BBC are currently looking for a very specific young Norwegian actress for a television drama shooting in the UK. This project is being cast by Andy Pryor Casting.

ROLE:

LENE is 14 or 15 years old and is blind. We are looking for a GENUINELY blind actress for this role. Must speak very good English. We can also consider 16 year olds if they look very young. No acting experience is required but must be very confident, and comfortable about travelling to the UK to film for a few weeks. We would ideally cast a Norwegian girl in this role but will consider submissions from other Scandinavian countries.

DATES:

Shoot dates: 30th October – 17th December 2017 (will not be required for the whole period, but we’d need clear availability across this time as the schedule is not yet fixed.)
**Please note that the production will arrange tutoring for any school time missed. The production will also provide travel and accommodation for the actress and a parent/guardian and also provide a chaperone in accordance with British working regulations.

Auditions: Dates and locations for auditions are still to be confirmed, and will depend on how many applications we receive from different places. Likely to be between mid-September and early October. **Initial auditions will either take place in Norway, or via tape (full instructions will be provided). If any travel to the UK is required, this will be paid for by the production.
