Casting Call: Forestiling, Trondheim Torg

Vi ser etter 10 - 15 skuespillere med ulike bakgrunner. Forestillingen bygger på flere alternative manus som utøverne lærer og bruker i møte med publikum på Trondheim Torg. Skuespillerne vil blande seg med folk på torget og spontant ta kontakt med forbipasserende som ikke vet at de deltar i en forestilling. Selve forestillingen oppstår gjennom disse møtene og utvikler seg ut fra hvordan publikum responderer.
Skuespillerne må være komfortable med improvisasjon, siden de selv velger hvem de snakker med og leder samtalene som oppstår. Mange av dem dere møter vil ikke være klar over at de er en del av en forestilling, derfor er det viktig å være oppmerksom på om noen føler seg ukomfortable eller usikre, og bidra til at de føler seg trygge.
Forestillingen ønsker å utforske hvordan regler og sosiale normer fungerer, og hvordan vi forholder oss til høflighet og samhandling med andre. Samtidig leker den med grensen mellom virkelighet og fiksjon. Målet er at møtene skal være lekne og åpne, men samtidig ha et alvor og en tydelig tanke bak.
Erfaring med improvisasjon, deltakerbasert teater eller arbeid med publikum er en fordel. Skuespillere bør være komfortable med å snakke både norsk og engelsk, og andre språk er også et pluss. Du må være over 18 år for å søke.

Performance dates: May 16, 2026 –– 14.00–15.30

We are looking for 10–15 actors from diverse backgrounds. The performance is based on a series of alternative scripts that the performers will learn and use while interacting with the public at Trondheim Torg. Actors will blend in with the public until they spontaneously approach unsuspecting passersby and the performance unfolds in this interaction, depending on the responses of the participating public. The actors are also expected to be confident in improvising based on the scripts, as they act independently in selecting the participants and guiding the conversations that take place. As many of the participants will be unaware that they have become participants in a performance, the actors are required to remain especially sensitive to whether the person they are speaking to is feeling uncomfortable or apprehensive, and help them feel at ease. The performance is meant to raise questions about how our rule systems operate and how we grapple with compliance and polite contact, while blurring the line between real and fiction. The goal is to keep the interaction playful enough, while maintaining seriousness and sense of importance.
Experience in working with improvisation, participatory theater and different publics is helpful. Actors should be comfortable speaking in both Norwegian and English, other language skills would also be beneficial. Actors must be over the age of 18.

Materials needed to apply:
A short video where the actor is saying who they are, why they are applying and why they would be a good fit for this. This should be in both English and Norwegian.

2,000 NOK
Payable against an invoice.
